Todd-N-Tyler Exposed Part 1: TNT Explain Show's Success

By Jennifer Griswold. CREATED May 2, 2013

Omaha, NE - Todd Brandt and Mike Tyler met a little more than 20 years in Pennsylvania. They were both on the radio at the same station but in different time slots. They then teamed up together and say they clicked immediately.

(Be advised the attached video does contain some adult content.)

Todd Brandt says, "I don't think you can manufacture chemistry. I think people are under the mistaken impression that you can but from the first day you could tell there was something there." Mike Tyler added with a laugh, "It was called love."
Within months the two guys were driving to Omaha for a new job.
This summer will mark 20 years of the duo doing radio in Omaha. They've won the number one spot in their time slot in the key demographic for 12 straight years.
The Todd-N-Tyler Radio Empire broadcasts from 5-10 am Monday through Friday in Omaha on Z-92. They also rebroadcast at night and have podcasts available. Todd-N-Tyler certainly aren't alone on the show. Craig Evans does news every morning, Petey Mac shares sports and Big P is the show's producer.
Several years ago the show became syndicated. You can now hear it in a total of eight radio markets as far away as California.
Todd-N-Tyler hope the Empire keeps growing. They say they love what they do and aren't planning on slowing down anytime soon. Mike Tyler said, "as far as I'm concerned I'm right in the middle of this, not near the end."
Z-92 is celebrating TNT's 20th Anniversary. They're even giving away $20,000. There are also upcoming events marking the anniversary including a golf tournament, a day of racing at Horsemen's Park and an Alice Cooper concert. You can learn all about the concerts and contests on the Z-92 web site.
Coming on KMTV Action 3 News Live at 10 on Friday night, we'll show you Todd and Tyler after outside the studios. See the guys as husbands and fathers.
Journal Broadcast Group owns both Z-92 and KMTV Action 3 News.
