CREATED Apr. 19, 2013
Lincoln, NE. (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old University of Nebraska-Lincoln student has been injured in a three-story fall.
UNL police say emergency workers were dispatched to the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house around 12:30 a.m. Friday. The workers found the man lying on concrete under the fire escape.
Witnesses told officers the man had suggested that he and other frat members go outside on the fire escape to smoke cigarettes. They say he had been drinking. He sat on a railing and then fell.
The man was taken in critical but stable condition to a Lincoln hospital.
His name hasn't been released.
