Mandatory Boater Safety Courses Scheduled

CREATED Apr. 1, 2013
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission suggests that boaters take the state's mandatory boating safety courses now, before summer begins.
A list of the classes is available online. The list includes six-hour classroom courses and three-hour home study review and test courses. More classes will be added to the list during the year.
The commission says people born after Dec. 31, 1985, who operate motorboats or personal water crafts in Nebraska, must have successfully completed Nebraska boating safety courses. People must have course certificates with them when operating boats or personal water crafts.
