OPD Places 2nd Officer on Paid Leave During Investigation
Omaha, NE - The Omaha Police Department announced this weekend that a second officer is now on paid administrative leave during an internal investigation regarding a rough arrest from March 21st.
KMTV Action 3 News was the first to report the arrests. A neighbor recorded the incident. The video shows officers arresting Octavious Johnson near 33rd and Seward. The officers were originally responding to a parking complaint. You see an officer throw Johnson to the ground and then strike him three times.
Several officers also followed another man into a home. That man, Juaquez Johnson, says police took his camera before arresting him.
