Nebraska AG Warns of Lotto Scam
CREATED Mar. 12, 2013
Omaha, Ne - Nebraska's Attorney General is warning about a lotto scam.
John Bruning says the scam is hitting the state telling victims they've won a jackpot. The scammer then ask victims to wire money to pay fees on the winnings.
The Attorney General's office has received more than 450 complaints in the past 90 days.
State officials say the lottery would never personally contact you about winning a jackpot and never ask you for money up front.
