Round Two of Snow To Bring Several More Inches
OMAHA, NE - Just as the KMTV Weather Alert Team predicted, another heavy snowfall began Sunday afternoon. By Sunday night, the metro could see anywhere from six inches to eight inches of snow.
Sunday afternoon, witnesses said conditions in downtown Omaha were deteriorating. Getting onto I-480 was tricky because of whiteout conditions.
In Bellevue, a police sergeant posted a picture via Twitter of the Kennedy Freeway showing whiteout conditions as well.
Chief Meteorologist Ryan McPike says the heavy snow should taper off early Sunday evening.
