Isaac Pfeifer is paralyzed from the chest down. the last few months have been life altering for his family. They've also been life changing for a group of volunteers who made it their mission to help the family rebuild life at home. It has been an all out push to get the Pfeifer house totally turned around, making it handicapped accessible for Isaac. Roger Haselhorst with Haselhorst Construction says, "Hectic crazy. That's as good of a description I can come up with."
Volunteers have been coming to the Pfeifer house just about everyday since January. Norbert Goeken is retired but that doesn't mean he isn't willing to work. He'll do whatever it takes to make sure this home is ready. Goeken says, "When you tear out five walls and remodel everything wall to wall, sheetrock, everything, it changes a house."
