Omaha, NE - Everett Williams was walking to a bus stop at 48th and Bedford after school on February 8th, 2010, when someone shot and killed him.
Three years later, the 15-year-old's parents are asking the public for information about the murder. All the leads have gone cold, police have arrested no one.
Williams' father still remembers the last time he saw his son, the morning he died. Everett Williams Sr. said he knew something was bothering his son, he just didn't know what. "You can't watch your kids all the time. As soon as they hit the door, all you can do is pray and hope they made the right decisions," he said.
Williams' parents say someone knows something. The 15-year-old was with friends when he was shot. Williams' mother Yvonne pleads for anyone to come forward and help her find the person who killed her only son.
Omaha Police say the case is difficult because no one is willing to give information. The department stresses, Crime Stoppers is the most effective way to provide tips and remain anonymous. You can even text in a tip. Good information may lead to a cash reward. Crime Stoppers number is 402-444-7867.
The Benson High sophomore would have graduated this year.
