A cab driver, 33-year old Ibrahm Dirie, vacuuming his car at this council bluffs gas station is the target of a bad guy. A worker inside says the suspect, Ronnie Valla, walked up to the cabbie, punched him repeatedly, then took off in the cab. Police say Valla drove across state lines into Omaha, eventually leading officers on a pursuit. Little did he know, a GPS system tracked his every move.
Police say Valla meandered through busy city streets, passing through crowded places like Aksarben Village, sometimes at a high rate of speed, even hopping medians. The cab company's director of operations wasn't going to let this happen. He joined police in tracking the suspect.
John Davis says, "It was just something that you see on TV but don't really expect to actually experience, someone would just not have any respect for life or anyone else, that he would put so many people at risk." The cab driver was taken to the hospital. He's expected to be ok. Police arrested Valla and charged him with multiple crimes in Nebraska and Iowa.
