Victims of Deadly Crash Still Unidentified
Omaha, NE -- It's been three days since a small, red Honda crashed head-on into a Ford truck killing all four people in the compact car. Douglas County deputies still have not identified all of the victims.
The wreck happened Friday morning on the Highway 275 overpass near Waterloo. The roads were slick and icy from overnight fog and are believed to be contributing factors in the early morning crash.
Douglas County Sheriff's Office believes the four victims were from Guatemala. They were on their way to work at the Nebraska Beef Plant when they were killed.
Investigators have tentatively identified two of the men using the state's automatic fingerprint identification system, but have not released their names.
If you have any information that can help identify the men, call the Douglas County Sheriff's tip line at 402-444-6000.
The Nebraska Beef Plant in Omaha is helping with the investigation.
The driver of the truck survived the crash and suffered minor injuries.
