CREATED Nov. 26, 2012

Council Bluffs, IA  -  A Papa John's pizza delivery employee was pistol whipped and carjacked while delivering a pizza Monday night.

Council Bluffs police say the employee was making a delivery to 22nd and Avenue B, when two men jumped him and took off in his car. They also stole his cash and cell phone.  The victim went to the nearby Runza at 21st and Broadway and called police.

Police only have a vague description of the suspects; one's white, the other is Hispanic. One was wearing a  blue hoodie.  They stole the driver's 2007 silver Saturn. At the time, it had a Papa John's sign on it.  Police took the victim to a hospital to be checked out but say he's going to be OK.
