Small Business Saturday Lures in Local Shoppers

 Small Business Saturday was started in 2010, a movement kick started by American Express - to get people out of the mall and into locally owned businesses. The campaign is supposed to generate extra revenue for the 28-million small businesses in the U.S. At Jackson Street Booksellers in the Old Market, they're hoping to cash in on the local push.  Last year, an estimated 100-million people took advantage of the campaign, pumping in money to the local economy, a complete turnaround the mayhem that ensued just 24-hours before.
