Family Gives Thanks To Omaha Police Department For Quick Action
Omaha, NE- Omaha Police officers jumped into Carter Lake to save a mother, son and their dog after their boat capsized on Sunday. On Monday, the survivors meet the officers who saved their lives.Photo: Video by kmtv.com
The officers walked in one by one, just like Sunday when they arrived one by one and dove into Carter Lake to save Kay Dunn and her son Nathan Nelson.
In all, five Omaha cops stripped off their gear and waded through the 50-degree water to save the two. Officers say the water was so cold, it took their breath away, making it difficult to move.
