"The TV was here..."
Monica Davis says she and her family haven't slept in days.
"They just took everything."
While her neighborhood at 53rd and Pinkey sits quiet, Monica's fiance and her three kids are still on edge.
"We were sleeping, our bedroom is not far from the dining room table, so they were literally 5 feet from where we were sleeping."
Monica's Friday started as usual, then she noticed something was off; her front door sat wide open.
"I just get like this sick feeling and I turn and I look at our entertainment center, and our tv is just gone."
In a panic she checked the rest of the house. A 55 inch TV, a Playstation, XBox, cash, her fiances wallet and two sets of house keys, all gone.
"Like I was dreaming, like ok this is a horrible dream but you know then I realized you know this is happening, then I called 911, don't remember calling 911."
The next question was how.
"Theives cut the screen out of this window and climbed in. That's when they stole thousands of dollars worth of possessions and walked right out the front door."
Not only did the burglary leave emotional scars, but now it's become a financial burden.
"so we're losing money just not being able to work because of all this."
Working two jobs just to get by, Monica is losing hours.
The thieves took her car keys, she only had one. Now she and her fiance have to carpool.
"There's been points when it almost tears the family apart because everybody is so on edge so uneasy so angry so upset it's literally dumped our lives upside down."
