A presidential candidate you may not have heard of is grabbing attention for his controversial political ads.
Randall Terry founded Operation Rescue, the anti-abortion group, years ago. While Terry is on the Nebraska ballot for President, it's the graphic images in his campaign spots that's getting the attention.
Terry is a pro-life activist, who successfully received at least 2,500 petitioned signatures to be on the Nebraska ballot as a Presidential candidate.
The images in his ads are graphic. They show aborted fetuses, and call Planned Parenthood racist. He criticizes actor Samuel L. Jackson for supporting President Barack Obama and Planned Parenthood. Randall says showing these images are necessary to get the point across.
"None of us like the images but the images depict reality, and no social movement since the invention of the camera prevailed when they don't show the images of the victims. We'd still have Jim Crow laws if it wasn't for the images of black people being murdered and persecuted. We'd still have child labor if it wasn't for the images of children dying in coal mines. These images while troubling are critical in a political fight,” Terry explained.
KMTV’s General Manager stated that as part of our obligation to the public, KMTV is required to air all advertisements from "legally qualified federal candidates" as we receive them.
