Omaha Public Schools Candidates Announced
CREATED Mar. 27, 2012
Omaha, NE – Board of Education President, Freddie Gray announced the three finalists Tuesday morning. The finalists are Dr. Nancy Sebring of Iowa, Dr. Daniel Nerad of Wisconsin and Dr. ReNae Kehberg of Nebraska.
Starting Wednesday the board will interview the three finalists. They’re also offering a meet and greet session for the community.
Two of the candidates are superintendents right now. Gray says the skills that these candidates display in their communities are high on the board’s priority list.
“All the candidates that we received they were very highly qualified, so to try to cut that in half has been an interesting process,” says Gray.
Once the interview process is complete the board will deliberate to see if they can come to a consensus on the final candidate.
The meet and greet sessions start Wed. and run through Fri. in the Omaha Public Schools Board Room.
Each session runs from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.
