Police Urge Business Owners to Invest in Business Watch

Omaha, NE -- The Omaha Police Department is launching a new program aimed at helping business owners combat crime.  The Business Watch Unit will be hosting robbery prevention training for businesses.

There will be two training sessions.  The first is on December 20th at the Northwest Precinct which is located at 10245 Wiesman Drive.  It runs from 9:00 a.m to 10:30 a.m.  The second location on December 20th is at the Southeast Precinct at 2475 Deer Park Boulevard from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The Business Watch Unit will hold more sessions on January 10th. The first session is at the Southeast Precinct from 9 to 10:30 a.m., followed by an evening session at the Northwest Precinct from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Business owners are encouraged to attend.  The meeting is open to anyone interested.  If you want to participate in a training session you need to register by December 16th at businesswatch@ci.omaha.ne.us, or by calling 402-444-6518.
