  • A Birds nest behind a porch light caused a fire to start. Four teenagers were driving by and noticed the small flames which was a birds nest that caught on fire. They stopped their vechicle and ran to the front door. The man who lives there, noticed them running toward him and started yelling to see if they needed help. But the girl yelled back and pointed at the flame, which had gotten bigger. A small piece of wood had fallen and caught her arm as she tried to open the front door to get the man out. She suffered just a small burn, nothing major. Moments later, bothe Papillion and Lavista fire departments showed up. By this time the flames were very noticable from 72nd street. They quickly got the flames put out and luckily the man was safe. The man who owns the home is the brother of a city councilman. Joshua Reposa
