Today's Outlook

Monsoonal rain returns soon!

Latest forecast runs came down this morning around 2AM and there is much more of a consistent forecast for the rainfall. Both high pressure to the west and north of us look to weaken allowing the final weak area of high pressure out of central/northern Mexico to move towards the north. While this occurs, our upper level low will being to strengthen. This will help out monsoonal flow to surge north and more towards the west. Today into Friday mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies will be common with a small chance of isolated showers through the valley. By the weekend, we expect monsoonal flow to be in full swing. Scattered showers and thunderstorms look to be common Saturday, Sunday with moisture receding Sunday night. Today, expect highs between 106 and 111 degrees with mostly sunny skies and a slight chance for isolated showers. Winds, NW between 5 and 15 mph.
