Today's Outlook

Major sizzle on the way!

High Pressure continues to show signs of strengthening and expanding towards the west as we move into the mid and late part of the work week. Winds are expected to shift out of the south and bring moisture to Arizona allowing for clouds and the potential for thunderstorm development however due to our mid and upper levels being relativly dry and forecasted to be stable through the next several days, we will just see the heat along with a few low level clouds within southern California. Today, mainly sunny skies are expected with highs between 105 and 110 degrees with 5-15 mph winds out of the northwest. Wednesday will be the stepping stone into major heat with highs between 109 and 114 degrees. By Thursday, afternoon temperatures will range between 110 and 118 meeting excessive heat criteria.
