Tattoo Regret on the Rise

Seems like not so long ago, America became a very inky nation. Even soccer moms were getting tattoos!
Now, according to a recent poll, 1-in-8 regrets it. But removing that body art is a long, often difficult process, which is why a growing number of people are choosing the do-it-yourself route. There are now hundreds of graphic videos online devoted to self-removal. Some people are using safety pins and pens in an attempt to "poke" the pigment out, or salt to try and "scrub" it off the skin.
There are also self-removal gels and creams available, but there's no evidence that they work, according to medical experts. The American College of Dermatology is very concerned, warning these DIY treatments can cause serious side effects, like infection, scarring, burning, rashes, and skin discoloration.
