It's the final push from Democrats vying for votes. In the local Congressional race, it's down to the wire. Democratic challenger Dr. Raul Ruiz spent the day rallying voters, asking them to make calls and knock on doors. Former President Bill Clinton is giving the Ruiz campaign momentum in this final hour. Clinton is making automated calls to get out the vote for Ruiz. New registered Democrats could also help swing a win. New figures released show Democrats now outnumber Republicans in the valley.
"Latino vote is very critical. Everybody deserves to have their voice as part of the American story and a prosperous America," said Ruiz.
Over at the Coachella Valley Democratic headquarters. More than 100 volunteers are calling battle ground states, trying to lock in support for President Obama. Volunteers say they are throwing their support behind the President because of his positions on women's issues, gay rights and foreign policy. The Democrats will be making calls at the Cathedral City headquarters until the polls close at 8pm tomorrow.
