PALM SPRINGS - The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians announced Tribal Council election results Tuesday, naming Mr. Jeff L. Grubbe as Chairman.

Chairman Grubbe is the first newly elected Chairman of the Tribal Council since Chairman Richard M. Milanovich passed away earlier this year, on March 11. Chairman Milanovich had served on the Tribal Council since 1978, and had been Chairman for 28 years.

Chairman Grubbe has served on the Tribal Council since 2006, and has been Vice Chairman since 2007. Prior to the Tribal Council, Chairman Grubbe served on the Agua Caliente Child Development Committee, the Agua Caliente Election Board, the Gaming Commission, and the Tribal Building Committee. Chairman Grubbe also joined the Agua Caliente Development Authority (ACDA) and has been involved with the authority since 2003. He also gained important experience at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa as a tribal intern in 1999.

Chairman Grubbe stated that he is "humbled and honored to be elected to serve as Chairman for the Tribal Council, and will continue to follow tribal traditions of strong leadership, determination and compassion."

Vincent Gonzales III, Secretary/Treasurer, Member Anthony Andreas III, and Member Jessica Norte continue in their elected terms on the Agua Caliente Tribal Council.
