Police Search for Suspects Who Attacked a Disabled Man

CATHEDRAL CITY--A disabled man is recovering after he was assaulted and robbed.
This happened Monday night on the 69100 block of Victoria Drive in Cathedral City. Police are asking for your help tonight to find the men responsible for this assault and robbery.
It's a quiet street, a church and school just blocks away but on Monday night this neighborhood was shaken by a ruthless assault and robbery. The victim a developmentally disabled man.
"These kinds of things happened in the previous years lately this year not too much but it's possibility that it happen," said resident Joseph Mikrut.
The man was walking here on Victoria Drive when police say the robbers approached him, pushed him to the ground and stole his shoulder bag.
They then fled on foot. Police say there are three suspects all are black men between 18 and 30 years old, and weigh about 200 pounds, all were wearing black pants and black t-shirts.
"I have a disabled brother so that kind of touches home with me. That's really messed up," said neighbor Christopher Dovuangsibountham.
After the attack the disabled man yelled for help. A neighbor came to his aide and called police. He was treated for minor injuries. The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and personal possessions.
