BERMUDA DUNES - A homeowner is recovering after being attacked in an attempt home invasion robbery Thursday in Bermuda Dunes.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, around 3:30 p.m. deputies were called to a home located on the 43800 block of Culebra Lane.
Investigation revealed the victim answered a knock at the front door and two males armed with handguns forced their way into the residence.
The two suspects demanded money and assaulted the victim. The victim was able to flee the residence, run to a neighbor's residence, and call 911.
The two suspects fled the scene in a silver or tan sedan, possibly a Honda or Toyota, driven by a third male suspect. The victim sustained only minor injuries.
-Suspect #1 was described as a Hispanic male adult in his 20's, approximately 200 pounds, with a shaved head. He was wearing a tan shirt and blue jeans.
-Suspect #2 was described as a Hispanic male adult in his 20's wearing a gray sweatshirt and black pants.
-Suspect #3 was only described as a Hispanic male adult.
