Credit Card Skimming at Local Bank

RANCHO MIRAGE--Credit card skimming has customers at one bank in Rancho Mirage checking their accounts carefully, after two men were arrested for allegedly trying to steal debit card numbers.
43-year -old Timothy Vaughn and 32-year-old Jonathan Aguilar were arrested for burglary, theft of credit information, conspiracy, and identity theft related charges. The extent of their crimes still under investigation. Authorities saying the men put skimming devices on atm's inside a local Chase Bank.
This Chase Bank branch in Rancho Mirage was bustling Monday, a steady stream of customers, most aware of the credit card skimming that went down Sunday afternoon.
Two men, Vaughn and Aguilar were arrested for burglary, theft of credit information, conspiracy, and identity theft related charges - they're accused of planting skimming machines on ATM's.
Police say the machines that were targeted are actually inside the lobby of this Chase Bank, they say the suspects put skimming devices on the machines and allegedly attempted to steal people credit card information.
Police say they saw the men come and go several times throughout the day, they were arrested after police say they saw them removing a device like this one from the bank's ATM, it's a skimming machine and is used to steal credit and debit card information every time a customers swipes their card.
Chase Bank released this statement about the possible card skimming:
"The security of our customer's information and their finances is of the utmost priority. If you're a victim of identity theft or account fraud, you should notify your bank immediately. Chase will work with our customers in an effort to make appropriate corrections of unauthorized transactions."
Police are still investigating the skimming scheme, and say so far no customers information has been compromised.
