Country Music's Biggest Stars Coming To Stagecoach
INDIO - Thousands of country music fans are gathering this weekend at Indio's Empire Polo Club for the sixth annual Stagecoach Country Music Festival.
Jason Aldean is headlining the festival's opening night Friday, with married country superstars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert headlining on Saturday, and Sheryl Crow and Brad Paisley will close the festival on Sunday.
The three-day festival, which is one day longer this year, sold out in January. Indio officials and concert promoters are expecting at least 55,000 people to attend the festival each day.
Traffic congestion can be expected. Festival-goers and regular residents should expect delays when traveling through Indio and La Quinta.
The established pickup and drop off point for taxis and shuttles is at Avenue 52 and Madison Street.
Closed roads include:
- Avenue 49 between Hjorth Street and Monroe Street
- Avenue 50 between Madison Street and Jackson Street
- Hjorth between avenues 49 and 50
- Madison between avenues 49 and 52
Indio officials say there are no pedestrians allowed on Monroe and Madison streets between avenues 49 and 52.
Other acts scheduled to perform at Stagecoach this weekend include Alabama, Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, Martina McBride, Kenny Rogers, The Mavericks and The Band Perry.
