Cathedral City Restaurant Damaged by Fire Reopens

CATHEDRAL CITY - A Cathedral City restaurant is open Friday after an arson fire forced them to rebuild.
Taqueria San Miguel restaurant is open for the first time in four months.
A December 6th fire damaged their eatery along with seven other businesses in the Date Palm Plaza off of Date Palm Drive.
Tanya Priest works across the street at Mayfield College... Priest and her colleagues came to celebrate the grand re-opening.
"We've been watching it every day, we're really really excited they're back open, and we're here pretty much everyday so breakfast, lunch dinner, we're just glad that they are back and happy to be here today to celebrate their grand opening," said Priest.
48 year old Jesus Abel Hernandez admitted to setting the blaze and was sentenced to six years in prison.
Several other businesses inside the plaza have also reopened.
