PALM SPRINGS - City Councilmember Rick Hutcheson kicked off the opening of the 23rd annual White Party Weekend in Palm Springs with a proclamation ceremony proclaiming founder Jeffrey Sanker as the City's Honorary Deputy Mayor.
The ceremony was held in front of the fountain at the Renaissance Resort.
Over the years, the White Party has attracted thousands of visitors from all over the world to the City of Palm Springs confirming our status as a world-class international destination.
The three-day weekend, slated April 6- 8, features a plethora of pool and dance parties at the Renaissance Resort and the Palm Springs Convention Center.
World renowned hip hop artist Mary J. Blige will headline the signature White Party event, which kicks off Saturday, April 7 from 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. at the Convention Center.
On Sunday, April 8, and outdoor dance party will be held in the lot across from the Convention Center from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m, featuring Lisa Vanderpump from the popular Bravo-TV reality show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Vanderpump will be crowned "Queen of the White Party" at 6 p.m.
