Stars Act Out Celebrity Memoirs To Save Young Lives

CREATED Feb. 21, 2012

PALM DESERT - Stars of screen and stage alike come together Tuesday evening in Palm Desert of a good laugh and an even greater cause, to raise money to save young lives.

Stars like Florence Henderson, Craig Bierko, Valerie Bertinelli, Martin Short and Lainie Kazan will act out other celebrities' memoirs live on stage. It's part of the award-winning comedy hit "Celebrity Autobiography."

"It's so fun," says creator Eugene Pack. "Everyone is on stage reading from different books, acting it out. It's hilarious."

"I've done a lot of play and I've never, ever been part of a play, even a big hit, that always scores, always scores," says actor Craig Bierko.

"Celebrity Autobiography" plays two shows only Tuesday evening at 5:30 and 8 at Indian Wells Theater on the CSU Palm Desert Campus.

Proceeds benefit the Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. Organizers say funds are being raised to establish a pharmacy inside the children's intensive care unit.
