International Holocaust Remembrance Day

CREATED Jan. 27, 2012

PALM DESERT - In 2005, the United Nations General Assembly designated January 27 as International Holocaust Remembrance Day, an annual day set aside to remember the Holocaust's many victims, celebrate those who survived, and remind us all that we must never forget what happened.
The Gerald R. Ford Chapter of Mensch Foundation International held its second annual remembrance ceremony today at Palm Desert's Civic Center Park.

Economic analyst Morris Beschloss, who escaped Nazi Germany as a child, was today's featured speaker.
