Music World Mourns Legendary Blues Singer Etta James
RIVERSIDE - Etta James' manager says the singer has died in Southern California at age 73.
Lupe De Leon tells The Associated Press the singer died early Friday at Riverside Community Hospital. De Leon says the cause of death is complications of leukemia.
James enduring hits include "At Last" and "Tell Mama." Her ballad "At Last" became an enduring anthem for weddings, commercials and even President Barack Obama.
Her manager says James died today at the southern California hospital with her husband and sons at her side. James was a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
