Coachella Music Festival Line-up Released
The official lineup of this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been released.
The lineup is out, and remaining tickets will go on this Friday at 10 A.M.
Are people ready to rock out to this year's lineup?
Palm Desert resident, Scott Russell, gets his first look.
"The black keys, excellent. Saturday Radiohead, the Shins, this is pretty eclectic, I think this is better than last year actually."
Yucca Valley resident, Austin Tharp had this to say about the line-up, "Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, awesome, that's going to be fun, radiohead, Jimmy Cliff, Tim Armstrong, sweet, I can't wait, how much are tickets?"
Starting ticket prices will be 285 dollars for the three day festival, and they are sure to go fast. Also a hot ticket for Coachella Festival, hotel rooms.
The vacancy sign at the Tropics Motor Hotel will have a no in front of it in April.
"Kind of hectic on the telephone, a lot of calls," said manager Frank Vandeveer. The historic Tropics Motor Motel manager said they are booked up every year, "Oh we overflow, every year. Every year we'll be booked all the way through."
At the Royal Plaza Inn, they knew something was up when the phones started ringing off the hook.
"We've been getting tons of phone calls today," said general manager, Dipak Patel.
For the first time ever, there are two weekends.
"Especially this year when they have Coachella Music Festival on two weekends, we not sure how that is going to pan out because obviously now you can have twice as big of crowd as previously," said Patel.
Online, on Craiglist, locals are already planning to make some cash by renting their homes to all the people who are coming into town over the two weekends.
"This should be a good year," said Russell. And because there are two weekends this year he says, "Well that's interesting, I might be able to do that one."
But better hurry, tickets usually fly away fast.
