New Cases of West Nile Virus

PALM DESERT - Three new cases of the West Nile virus have been found right here in the Coachella Valley.

The positive mosquito samples were taken from traps located in Cathedral City between Plumley Road and Gerald Ford and Date Palm Drive and Converse Road.

In the city of Palm Desert - a positive sample was found east of Portola Avenue and north of Reserve Drive.

According to the Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District, a total of 6 positive cases of the West Nile virus has been reported so far this year.
