Travel Weather Takes a Turn

Happy Thanksgiving! It has been a mild one in the valley with Boise reaching 57 and Twin Falls topping out at a whopping 66! Rain showers should stay to the north of the Treasure Valley Thursday night and Friday morning.

Showers will push south during the day on Friday reaching the Boise area in the afternoon. More showers are likely Friday night through Saturday afternoon.

Much colder weather moves in Saturday night but the rain will end before it can change to snow and a biting NW wind will drop wind chills into the 20s by late evening. So if you are heading to the game don't let the rain during the day on Saturday deceive you, it will be dry for the game but the mild weather will be gone and it will become frigid during the game.

Travel weather in the central mountains will go down hill by Friday evening as rain changes to snow. Heavy snow and blowing snow is likely down to 5000ft by Friday night. Watch for snow covered roads above 4500 feet in central Idaho by Saturday morning.

On Sunday it will be a much colder, dry morning in the valley with lots of sunshine. Snow is possible in the valley Sunday night and Monday morning.
