Wildfire smoke is at it again

Smoke from a massive wildfire in northern California is blanketing the sky over much of the Treasure Valley late Thursday. That smoke mixing with high clouds could stick with us to varying degrees through Friday.

A cold front will bring in cooler weather late Friday night and early Saturday morning. There is chance of showers overnight Friday into early Saturday morning, mainly in the central mountains.

Breezy and cooler conditions will follow the front for Saturday and Sunday. The sun will still shine, but the cooling will be noticeable.

Forecast models are showing drier air working into the area for Sunday and Monday.  This could mean that even the mountains may stay shower free AFTER Friday night/early Saturday morning. Do expect a big cool down in the mountains for the weekend with high temperatures at 64-70.
