Goodbye inversion, hello warmer temps

The rain and wind that came with a low pressure system Friday night and Saturday has scoured much of the inversion out of the Treasure Valley, bringing plenty of cloud cover and warmer temperatures to the area.

That system will stay with us Saturday overnight into Sunday, with a 50% chance of dropping a mix of rain and snow. Bogus Basin could see up to 2" of snow overnight.

A high pressure system will move into our area from California Sunday, reducing the cloud cover and keeping our temps near a normal low to mid 40s. Early models predict the lack of snow on the ground will prevent a second inversion from forming. That means for now, our Thanksgiving is looking great - partly cloudy and a high of 43.
