Mild Holiday Yields to Weekend Mountain Snow

Thanksgiving Day still looks dry in the valleys, but there will be more clouds and scattered showers in the late afternoon and evening. A chance of a rain snow mix in the higher elevations as well. Our temperatures will stay mild with highs in the 50s through Friday.

Showers are likely Friday night, with the mountains getting a substantial amount of snow through Saturday. The Treasure Valley will see rain showers on Saturday changing to snow showers before ending Saturday night.

Travel weather in the central mountains will go down hill by Friday evening as rain changes to snow. Heavy snow and blowing snow is likely down to 4500ft Friday night.

If you are headed to the Broncos game Saturday night expect cold, blustery conditions with a slight chance of flurries.

On Sunday it will be a cold, dry morning with increasing clouds and a chance of snow developing with a high only in  the mid 30s.
