Hot and hazy

Smoke from a massive wildfire in northern California will likely blanket the sky over the valley again today. That smoke mixing with high clouds could keep our temperatures from reaching full potential Friday, but it will still be quite hot.  Valley highs are expected to be right around 90°.

A cold front will bring in cooler weather late Friday night and early Saturday morning. There is chance of showers overnight Friday into early Saturday morning, mainly in the central mountains.

Breezy and cooler conditions will follow the front for Saturday and Sunday. The sun will still shine, but the cooling will be noticeable.

Forecast models are showing drier air working into the area for Sunday and Monday.  This could mean that even the mountains may stay shower free AFTER Friday night/early Saturday morning. Do expect a big cool down in the mountains for the weekend with high temperatures at 64-70.
