Scorching heat and possible storms

Our weather pattern hasn't changed much through the last few days.  The high pressure ridge is still keeping our temperatures above average, and monsoonal moisture streaming in from the south will continue to keep a chance of storms of the area.

Valley highs for Thursday will top out in the mid-90s once again.  Late day showers and thunderstorms will likely form in our central mountains, favoring the West Central Mountains.  Isolated storms are still a possibility for the Magic Valley as well, with a plume of moisture pushing in from Nevada.

Stray storms for the Treasure Valley are not out of the question, but it looks more likely for the storms to pass through on Friday and Saturday.  If we do see thunderstorms in the Treasure Valley, or the immediate surrounding area, expect gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall.

This pattern is expected to continue into the middle of next week, so that means you will need to keep an eye to the sky for any approaching storms.  Don't forget, "When thunder roars, go indoors," and stay inside until the storm has passed.
