A 4-year-old was banned from a Monroe, Connecticut, doughnut shop after allegedly asking a woman in the store if she "had a baby in her belly." She did not.

Rebecca Denham, the mother of little Justin Otero, apologized to the woman after her son's innocent question was asked. The unidentified woman allegedly assured Denham that it was "no problem." However, when the mother and son returned to the bake shop on Tuesday, they were unexpectedly turned away.

"We were screamed at in front of the door, ‘He's not allowed in here, he's rude'," Denham explains to WFSB.

The Doughnut Inn manager stood her ground. "She said, 'He's not allowed in here,' and I looked around, and said, 'him?' and she said 'Yeah, he's rude'," Denham further shares with WFSB.

The manager in question and the owner of the Doughnut Inn declined to comment on the incident. Denham has since chosen to take her business elsewhere in town.
