You knew it wouldn't take long. Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber is back in the headlines.
This time it is over an accusation that he stole a cellphone from a fan.
The alleged victim told TMZ that Bieber and his crew got into an altercation with some othe rmen at a batting cage in Los Angeles on Monday night.
Bieber supposedly saw the woman reaching for her cellphone and demanded that she hand it over so that he could erase any photos that she took of the fight.
The woman says she refused, and Bieber then reached into her purse and grabbed it.
According to the woman, the two of them wrestled and Bieber was able to take the phone. However, he could not access it because it was locked.
She eventually got her phone back, although she had to endure Bieber screaming at her and her daughter.
The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that they are investigating Bieber for attempted robbery.
There has been no comment from Bieber or his representatives about the incident.
This is just one more incident in a long list of troubles for the young singer.
Bieber was arrested in January for driving under the influence in Miami; charged with assault in Toronto; subject of a felony vandalism probe in Los Angeles after his neighbor's house was egged; and alleged to have interfered with a flight crew while on a charter flight from Canada to New Jersey.
