A group of firefighters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was recently called to an unusual rescue situation involving a bathtub and a poodle.
According to KRQE News 13, the incident began last Friday when poodle Morita's owner was giving her a bath.
Selene Ortega, 12, says that when she tried to pick Morita up, the little poodle screamed. The dog's tiny paw was stuck in the bathtub's drain.
When Selene and her family could not free the trapped animal, they reached out to the experts.
However, it took a while to find the right person or persons for the job.
First, the Ortegas called their vet, who told them to call a plumber. The plumber told them to call housing and housing said to call 911. The 911 dispatcher sent Animal Welfare, and they called the local fire department.
The firefighters were forced to cut open the bathtub to free the dog. Morita was not seriously injured.
