A bittersweet, feisty farewell video made by a former CNN reporter Lisa Desjardins has gone viral.
Desjardins made the video after learning that she was been laid off by CNN during a restructuring of its Washington, D.C. bureau.
The video starts with a word cloud that Desjardins created, using the predictable warm words in emails from employees who departed before her.
But then, Desjardins reveals what some of those same people said in farewell emails sent directly to her. And they were definitely not quite as nice.
The reporter, who joined CNN in July 2013, then appeared on camera to express her thoughts on CNN eliminating her position and on the state of Congress. She also helped herself to reporter notebooks, sticky notes, and pencils as she spoke.
Watch the video to see what else she took and who got an apology and who got props.
