Vandals still winless

The University of Idaho was blanked 42-0 by Washington State Saturday, surrendering 346 yards and four touchdowns to Cougars quarterback Connor Halliday.

Despite starting 0-4 in Moscow, head coach Paul Petrino thinks the Vandals are getting better. "You've got to have a lot of private victories before you ever have a public victory," said Petrino. "We're still getting better each week, and they're still working hard, they're grinding. You see those private victories and you've just got to continue to have hopes that they show up as public victories."
