Nine walk-ons joined the Boise State football team for the first practice of fall camp Friday morning.
Kicker Blake Gonzalez, offensive lineman Mike Miller, corner back Kevin Person, and linebacker Joe Provenzano came to Boise State from out-of-state.
The other five played their high school ball in Idaho. They are: Fruitland wideout Josh Rhinehart, Eagle defensive tackle Paul Semons, offensive lineman Jake Templeton from Timberline, Salmon River's go-to-guy, Leighton Vander Esch, and Capital High corner back, Eric Yates. Yates is the son of Broncos defensive coordinator Marcel Yates.
There are now 21 players on Boise State's roster that played high school football in Idaho.
