"We'll see what kind of fortitude and focus and toughness and all those type of things that we have here in a few weeks," said Boise state football coach Chris Petersen on Tuesday.
Petersen added that there is only so much he can take from a helmet-only practice. For the first time since spring, Petersen got to see his team in full pads Friday morning.
Since camp began Monday, the veterans and newcomers had been split up into separate practices, but the entire squad came together Friday for the first practice on the blue.
"It felt good, it's been a long summer," said senior center Matt Paradis. "It's always good to get on the pads and make some real contact. (We) get the Bronco drill going and I get to have some fun, going full-go against the defensive line."
