The Boise State softball team gave its seniors a proper send-off Saturday afternoon, as the Broncos beat the Nevada Wolfpack 7-6.
Boise State (25-26-1, 9-9 MWC) had only three seniors on this year's roster, and each of them played an integral role in the Senior Day win. Lela Work hit the game-tying home run and earned her 12th save by pitching the seventh inning. Holly Bourke also homered, and pitcher Ashley Collier made her 48th and final start as a Bronco (she had been out of the lineup since March with an injury).
The Broncos trailed 6-5 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, but back-to-back home runs from Work and Jordan Kreiger gave BSU a one-run lead. Boise State hit five home runs in all, including a solo shot from Brittany McCray and a two-run blast by Devon Bridges.
