Maybe it's mold. Maybe it's the pollen in the air.
Whatever the cause, one thing is for certain- the Broncos have a case of spring fever.
The Boise State football team's spring schedule concludes with the annual Blue and Orange game this weekend. Kick-off is slated for 5PM Saturday night at Bronco Stadium. Tickets are available to the public for $9 apiece.
"I think the best thing about the spring game is just having people in this stadium," said coach Chris Petersen. "It definitely changes it for the players. Just to get some different energy in the stadium... Performance anxiety goes way up and changes everything."
Senior wide-out Kirby Moore has played in several spring games as a Bronco, but even he admitted the crowd provides a different atmosphere.
"I think at first, if you don't (get nervous), obviously you're not caring about it as much as you should," said Moore. "But once you get out there, it's just football. It's just like practice, you just execute."
