The New Mexico football team has only won a single game in each of the last three seasons. However, under former Notre Dame Coach Bob Davie, the Lobos have already won twice in this year's campaign.
The Lobos rely on a run-heavy offense that is currently ranked 21st in the nation. Four different players have over 25 carries, four have rushed for over 100 yards, and five have scored at least one touchdown.
Davie utilizes a triple option that Coach Petersen has reffered to as a "sort-of pistol offense." New Mexico controls the clock, limiting the opposition's time of possession; a tactic which has caught the attention of the 26-point favorite Broncos.
