Saturday marks the end of an era for Bronco fans: no more blue uniforms on the blue. It's a moment that has been looming for Boise State since July. That's when the Mountain West publicly announced the school could no longer wear their traditional blue home uniforms while at home on the blue turf in Mountain West Conference play.
"It's definetly going to be different," said Broncos receiver Tyler Shoemaker. "It's ending that era here, at least for me anyway."
Players and coaches have said the team will wear grey uniforms this season at home, very similar to the ones they wore against Virginia Tech in Washington D.C. Although, these football fashionistas are still skeptical.
"Eh, I'm ok with the grey," said Broncos center Corey Yriarte, who adds that he's ok with any uniform that is slimming to his girlish figure. "[It's important} how it fits on my arms, how it makes my stomach look."
