The Good Morning Idaho crew went out and about at the Basque Museum and Cultural Center with Patty Miller to learn a little bit about Boise's tie to the history and culture of the Basque Country, located in the Pyrenees Mountains on the border of France and Spain.
Stop by the Basque Block in downtown Boise to hear more about the Basques' sheep herding in Idaho, to try food at the Basque Market and other places, and to see the 100-year-old froton, or pala court. The museum is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Saturday hours are 11 am to 3 pm.
Also, the Basque Festival starts Friday evening, July 26. Check out the food, the dancing, the music, and the fun all weekend long.
