Easy treats for Mom (hint: dads and kids can handle this!)

When it comes cooking or baking for Mom on Mother's Day -- especially when it involves kids -- the simpler, the better! And this recipe featured on Good Morning Idaho has just 2 ingredients -- you can't get much simpler than that! 2-Ingredient Date Bites


INGREDIENTS
2 cups soft medjool dates, pitted
¼ cup sesame seed -or- unsweetened coconut flakes

INSTRUCTIONS

In a high speed blender or food processor, blend the dates until evenly blended to a consistent paste. Transfer to a bowl.

Use a spoon to scoop the mixture into your hand and roll into 1 inch balls.

Roll the balls in the sesame seeds until evenly coated.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. For longer storage, you can keep them in the freezer. It’s not likely they will last that long.

Gift Giving Idea: Put the 2-Ingredient Date Bites in mini cupcake papers and then in a food gift box wrapped in a ribbon.

Makes approximately 12 bites
