Bob Richards Movie Reviews: Friday, July 15th

By Bri Eggers. CREATED Jul 15, 2013

The minions won out over Adam Sandler over the weekend as Despicable Me 2 took in $44.8 million and remained number one at the box office while also crossing the $200 million mark.  Adam Sandler's Grown Ups 2 brought in $42.5 million for second place, and the week's other new release, Pacific Rim was third with $38.3 million.  With the film's $200 million budget, that was a disappointing debut.  Overall though, the total box office take was up 29 percent over last year.
